“A very pleasant stay in Berlin. The location was fantastic – a great neighborhood close to a station with easy access to sights via public transport. The old building with modern apartments had good facilities and attention to detail. My room had a large bathroom, a kitchenette, and windows opening to the inner yard. The breakfast spread was impressive with many cold and hot dishes.”

“Booking online was smooth and I got exactly what I wanted. Everything worked well, morning papers were early and adequate (I read Der Tagesspiegel). Staff were knowledgeable and helpful; coffee was available late and breakfast was excellent, served by a friendly, competent woman. The ambiance was special – the old photos and memorabilia connected me to the Romanovs and pre-WWI era. Being in the heart of Berlin, a short walk from the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate, heightened the historical connection. Nearby street names like Eichendorffstr, Novalisstr, Tieckstr, and Schlegelstr were meaningful given my German literature background. This is not a wannabe Holiday Inn – Zarenhof has character and style. I'd happily stay again.”

“Very helpful and friendly staff, good location, quiet yet close to transport, and a very good breakfast choice.”

8.1Verified guest

“Good quality accommodations, rooms were nice, clean, and spacious. Conveniently located near the central station with restaurants nearby. The neighborhood was great, with many small bars, restaurants, and a market.”

8.1Verified guest

“Very close to the S-Bahn station! Clean room and bathroom, kind staff, good breakfast with lots of choice. Important: large shower box – shower curtain doesn't stick to you.”

“Good location close to reasonably priced restaurants; a 5-minute walk to the S-Bahn and close to central city sights. Comfortable, well-furnished room; excellent breakfasts and friendly helpful staff.”
